Video of Navel Radiation Breathing with Baby Rubber Duckling

First, let me say that I am a big fan of Mathew-the charming child in this video. And I like Liz Twomey too because she is so encouraging of the children and because she has put allot of good thought into how teachers can use these techniques in the classroom–and now, how you can do these at home with your self and your children.  You are the starfish, the parent, and the home school teacher. Best to get familiar with the relaxing fluid breath patterns of sea creatures. With these lovely slow patterns we can go under the high energy of the nervous system into a cooler watery way of being. If you want to learn more about this I will teach a course on Developmental Movement. In the meantime, think “I am floating as seaweed on Caribbean Seas”.

Secondly, Naval Radiation is the pattern all bodies move in inside the womb. We are a radiant starfish with six limbs comprised of our head, tail, arms, and legs. All these lovely appendages move in a radiant pattern that expands outward from the navel and umbilical center. When we lie on our backs and breath allowing our navel to expand outwards and condense inwards with an embodied memory of floating in a watery world-we can experience the support of all the elements: earth, air, water, and energy as an inner electric fire.
