Join Us For The Whole Person: Embodied Early Developmental Movement and Attachment Therapy Session

In my experience, the more embodied a practitioner becomes, the more they can assess what’s truly going on with their clients. That’s why, starting February 21, you can join Mark Taylor and me as we lead an intimate training intensive in Austin, Texas.

The Whole Person: Embodied Early Developmental Movement and Attachment Therapy incorporates somatic movement therapy, embodied attachment therapy, and birth psychology.

Because so much of this training is experiential embodied practice—hands-on movement and continuous dyadic practice—you are able to develop yourself from the bottom up and the inside out!

Movement is integral to this practice, so it’s essential that you feel open enough to begin exploring your perceptions this way, as it is grounded in Body-Mind Centering. Sensorimotor therapy draws, in part, from Body-Mind Centering. However, we offer a different approach.

Because of the Prenatal Birth Attachment Therapy and the emphasis on learning through movement, we can explore the birthing patterns as part of the assessment process and doorway into the psyche.

We’re both trained in somatic experiencing and include many of these principles in our work with trauma recovery. But, it’s the wellness approach that makes all the difference.

When we empower clients through movement, we are able to enhance and achieve coherency through knowledge of their life in early development and even their birth and prenatal history. By working this way, we understand the earliest and most profound blockages, as well as some of the predisposition to psychological issues.

This is particularly effective with adults and children who suffer from early trauma such as hospitalization or time spent in the NICU. This work allows them to receive a somatic sense of empowerment over a time where they experienced extreme disempowerment.

After working somatically through body awareness and exploration, they have the tools to grow new neural pathways while coming into a safer, more embodied sense of themselves with a profound understanding of their body’s wisdom.

While this training can be transformative, it is not for everyone. You must have patience with your psyche and be willing to move and explore at your own pace while working experientially with your practice and respecting the processes of the rest of the group.

No matter if they are adults or infants, you must be able to hold a safe space for the youngest part of human beings in the group and your practice. Acknowledge them and recognize their innocence, potential, power, and willingness to play.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in taking part of, please join us! We want to create an intimate setting so that we have the time and space to dig deep.

Reserve your spot soon. Group-space is limited!

Thank you for your willingness to look at all the ways we can help children, families, and ourselves on this healing journey. None of us can do it alone! I welcome the opportunity to share everything I’ve learned with more practitioners, educators and parents.
