Taking Refuge in Soil..

This Election is crucially about our right to have a say over what happens to our bodies: 

NO MATTER HOW THEY LOOK! 

OR ARE GENDERED! 

OR IF OUR BODY IS BEING BORROWED TO GROW ANOTHER BODY. 

Do we get to decide? 

Does someone Else get to decide? 

I have spent the last 25+++ years studying the ways our bodies grow & respond:

-How our brains grow & develop in relationship to the response to our infant body language and vocalizations.

-How our adult bodies come alive when our dynamic expression of self is reflected accurately by another; like they GET US! 

-How meaning-making increases with co-listening, in the dance of listening to self, listening to others, and feeling they space between and amongst.. 

And how neglect, devaluing, name-calling, and mismatched facial expressions with mismatched behaviors (smiling while I am taking away your toys or saying I love women while setting up laws that insure you cannot save a woman or young girl even if she will die from her pregnancy) are all traumatizing to the collective body-as-body-as-self.

So knowing this is going on and there are actually some people are voting for and fighting for the right to cancel our access to our body autonomy,

HOW do we stay with our best selves? 

How do I continue to act in accordance with my values of valuing my body no matter how she/he/they look or what I am capable of? 

..In sickness and in health.....

Of listening to every part of my experience without judgement and shame?
